Sadler's Wells Theatre is a world-renowned performing arts venue located in Islington, London. Established in the 17th century, this theatre has held a significant place in the cultural life of the city, boasting a history steeped in the performing arts. The theatre today is predominantly focused on contemporary dance and ballet, hosting some of the world's leading companies and dancers on its stage. Blessed with excellent acoustics and seating for over 1,500 spectators, the venue also presents a variety of other performances including dramatic plays, music concerts and opera. 

The theatre is beautifully designed with modern aesthetics and offers a charming ambiance. It is equipped with all necessary amenities like a bar, a restaurant and event spaces for private hire, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience for visitors.

 ##### _How to get to Sadler's Wells Theatre_

The Sadler's Wells Theatre is situated in the borough of Islington, easily accessible via public transportation. The closest tube station is Angel, which is a five-minute walk away from the venue. Alternatively, bus routes 19, 38 and 341 stop directly outside the theatre. There are also numerous paid car parking facilities available in the vicinity of the theatre for those who prefer to drive.

Sadler's Wells is the home of contemporary dance productions in London. A smaller, 180-seat studio theatre (the Lilian Baylis Studio) was also built in the renovation to accommodate workshops of new works, as well as smaller productions for younger audiences. 

Sir Matthew Bourne's all-male *Swan Lake* premiered here in 1995 on the main stage before going on to international success. Sadler's Wells theatre events take place year round, with musicals taking place in the summer months, and dance shows throughout spring, autumn, and winter.

## Sadler's Wells Seating Information

The auditorium has three levels - Stalls, First Circle and Second Circle. The sightlines from most seats are very good, with no pillars obstructing views.

In the Stalls, the view from seats in Rows N-S may be slightly obstructed by the overhang of the First Circle.

In the First Circle, the view from seats in Rows L-M may be partially impaired by the overhang of the Second Circle.

The Second Circle may feel slightly removed from the action, and the view from the side seats in the front four rows is slightly impaired due to the seats being set at an angle.
